The Consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

It was through the month of May to October of 1917 that Our Lady had revealed prophetic messages to three little children of Fatima, Portugal; Lucia, Jancita, and Francisco, that involved predictions, requests, promises, and warnings. One request of Our Lady that we must consider investigating upon and submitting to is Her request for the consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart. Our Blessed Mother of the Most Holy Rosary, the lilly of The Trinity, stated “I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart. If people attend to my requests, Russia will be converted and the world will have peace.” For those who are new to the message of Our Lady of Fatima, you may ask “Well how is Russia to be consecrated?” Our Lady stated the following to Sister Lucia, one of the three visionaries of Fatima, on June 13,1929 the following:

“This is the moment when God asks the Holy Father to make, in union with all the bishops of the world, the consecration of Russia to my Immaculate Heart. He promises to save it by that means. So many are the souls which the justice of God condemns for sins committed against me that I come to ask for reparation. Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray.”

Due to innocent ignorance of this very request seven Popes, including Pope Francis, failed to consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

(Caution, Jimmy Papist moment ahead!)

Jimmy Papist–  But wait a second, wasn’t Russia already consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in 1984 by Pope John Paul II? What about Pope Pius XII in 1942 when he consecrated the whole world with “The People of Russia”?  –

This is the belief in which many Catholics uphold because of the misunderstanding of the request of Our Lady as Jimmy demonstrated above, however, this is incorrect because of the fact that Our Lady requested that Russia alone be consecrated to Her Immaculate Heart, thus the consecration was invalid and statistics prove this since the promises of Our Lady have not been given to us, such as world peace and the conversion of sinners to the Catholic Church.

Sr.Lucia was asked if an attempted consecration by Pope John Paul II, in 1982, had sufficed. She replied that it did not suffice, because Russia was not mentioned and the world’s bishops had not participated. Another attempted consecration in 1984 likewise did not mention Russia or involve the participation of many of the world’s bishops, and Sister Lucia stated immediately afterwards that this consecration, too, had failed to meet Our Lady’s requirements! Our Lady of Fatima warned that if Her requests were not heeded, Russia would “spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.” However, in His infinite mercy, God has offered us a way to avoid this terrible punishment. Through the consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we will not only avoid the predicted chastisements, but we will be granted the inestimable gift of peace throughout the world for all mankind.

Our Lord stated to Sr.Lucia  on June 13, 1929 ‘They have not chosen to heed my request… As the King of France, they will regret it and then will do it, but it will be too late. Russia will already have spread her errors throughout the world, provoking wars and persecutions against the Church, the Holy Father will have much to suffer.’”

Let us continue to pray for the consecration of Russia, for if we do not respond, we will have much to regret.

HAIL, holy Queen, Mother of mercy.
Hail, our life, our sweetness, and our hope!
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve;
To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us.
And after this our exile show unto us
the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.

V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
