Rest in peace Father Gruner

Sadly I have some bad news.. Father Gruner, the founder of Fatima Crusader, has passed away this afternoon due to a heart attack.. This missionary priest was a huge influence on me since I would watch his videos almost every day, especially his Q&A sessions on YouTube with John Vennari of Catholic Family News.

I can’t believe he is gone.. Please keep his soul and those who benefited from him in your prayers. Our Lady of Fatima, Pray for us. God Bless him and those who worked with him during his Fatima Apostolate.

I’m very said to hear this. I was fortunate to hear him speak and talked to him a couple of times. The last time I was at his mass, when he preached the homily, he was choked up and crying when he quoted the words, “They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore.” It’s as if he new what was coming soon. In some sense he was a “watchman at the tower” and an untiring echo of the prophets. I feel his sudden death is a sign that signifies the suddenness of the withdrawal of the time of mercy and the entering of the time of justice. Just like Our Lord was treated with scorn at His death, some people are “wagging their heads” and treating Father’s death with scorn saying his sudden death is a punishment from God. Nothing could be further from the truth. His work is continuing in a more powerful way in Heaven. He fulfilled the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and is now receiving the promised reward of being “dear to God as flowers placed by Mary to adorn His throne.”
